Caselist Mailer is a Chrome extension for policy debaters. It finds the speech doc you emailed, fills in the round from your Tabroom pairing, and publishes it to openCaselist. It also looks up what the other team has disclosed.

What Caselist Mailer does

Disclosure is the chore you skip because it means retyping what's already in your email. Both halves start from what you already have.

Mailer

Turns the doc you emailed into a published round.

Scan your mail. It lists the speech docs you and your partner sent, newest chain first.
Pick the doc. Tournament, side, round, opponent and judge fill in from your Tabroom pairing. If there's no pairing yet, it reads the chain's subject line instead.
Check, then publish. Nothing is uploaded until you press the button. The doc goes to openCaselist as open source, with a round report if you wrote one and a link to the recording if you have one.

Searcher

Shows you what the other team has disclosed, without opening the site.

Type a team. Their tournaments come up as folders; open one to see each round, the doc title, and a download button.
Read the round report, or watch the recording. Right there under the round, if they posted either.
Or don't type anything. Autosearch reads your latest pairing and looks up your next opponent for you.

Install

About three minutes. Two of the steps look scarier than they are, so they're explained.

Add it to Chrome
From the Chrome Web Store. Pin it to the toolbar so it's one click away.
Open the side panel
Click the icon. The panel opens beside whatever page you're on, and stays open while you switch tabs.
Sign in with Google
You'll see a screen that says Google hasn't verified this app. That's because Google is still reviewing the extension's Gmail access; the screen goes away once that review is finished. Until then, click Advanced, then Go to Caselist Mailer.

It asks for one permission: read-only access to Gmail (gmail.readonly). It uses it only to find the speech docs you and your partner emailed and the Tabroom pairing email for the round. It can't send, change or delete mail.
Be signed in to openCaselist
Have opencaselist.com open in a tab and be logged in. The extension publishes through that tab, using your own login, so it never sees your password or session.
Set up once
Choose your caselist, school and team, and enter your partner's email. That's it; it remembers.

What it can see

Your Gmail, read-only. It opens two kinds of message: speech-doc emails sent by you or your partner, and the Tabroom pairing emails that name your round. Messages from other people on a chain are never read; the extension looks at who was on the thread, nothing more.
openCaselist through your own tab. Every request goes out from the page you're already signed in to, so the extension never holds or stores a login token.
Nothing leaves your browser. There's no server. Your setup, your partner's address and the team index it builds all live in the extension's local storage on your machine.
